NHL DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Core Plays (Mar 11/22)

Jack Eichel (VGK) (C) – $6,800

  • All eyes were on Jack Eichel last night as he faced his former team who drafted him second overall and also named him their captain. The stadium was a hostile environment as expected, with more boo birds than appreciation cheers. However, the Sabres got the last laugh as they won 3-1. Eichel needs to have a short term memory and bounce back against the Penguins tonight. His price tag didn’t budge and is still under 7k. I will gladly play him again and again until they price him right as he is one of the best centers in the league.

Kris Letang (PIT) (D) – $6,800

  • Kris Letang continues to have another great season for the Penguins as they lack in depth at the D position. At age 34, he is averaging 25+ mins of ice time and playing on the top power play line that includes Crosby and Malkin. They face off the Golden Knights who are on the second game of a back to back and with Lehner out, this could possibly mean a start for Logan Thompson as Brossoit played last night. We will monitor this news and go from there.

Jack Eichel (VGK) (C) – $6,400

  • Must play on both sites.

Shea Theodore (VGK) (D) – $5,200

  • I think Theodore is too cheap here for 5.2k. He has logged close to 23+ minutes and hit double digit fps in 3 of his last 5 games. In cash games, you want to target players who consistently play a lot of minutes and he grades out as one of the best mid-tier plays for a defensemen. Pairing him up with fellow teammate Eichel is the way I am attacking this 4 game slate.

cash play considerations

  • Anthony Beauvillier (NYI) (W) – $4,300
  • Kevin Fiala (MIN) (W) – $6,500

  • Anthony Beauvillier (NYI) (LW) – $3,600
  • Anders Lee (NYI) (LW) – $3,300
