NHL DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Core Plays (Mar 10/22)

Pavel Zacha (NJ) (W) – $4,600

  • The former 6th overall pick back in 2015, Pavel Zacha is having his best season yet having 35 points in 50 games. After a few slow starts to his NHL career, it seems like Zacha is playing up to his hype of being a top draft choice. Projected to play on L2/PP1, Zacha grades out as a great mid-tier option on FD. I prefer him much more on DK as he is closer to min price but as of now, I have him in both lineups, mainly due to his recent form but also the matchup against the Winnipeg Jets tonight.

Auston Matthews (TOR) (C) – $10,100

  • Matthews is the clear spend up again for me on both sites. Although his price is now over the 10k mark, it is well deserved as he is having another sensational year. He will definitely be popular tonight, especially coming off a hatty against the Seattle Kraken. What is unbelievable is that he has averaged 7 shots per game in his last 3 racking up 30+ fps in each of them. I can’t forget about MacKinnon being on the slate who can match Matthews or even surpass him in fps but I’ll take a cheaper Matthews in a much better matchup.

Pavel Zacha (NJ) (C) – $3,100

  • Too cheap on DK. He is a lock for me over here.

Auston Matthews (TOR) (C) – $9,400

  • Just like Zacha, I like Matthews on DK more due to his price tag making him a lock.
