NHL DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Core Plays (February 18/22)

Laurent Brossoit (VGK) (G) – $8,000

  • This week will go by very slowly as we don’t have NBA for the next 6 days. We do however have NHL which has been crushing this season, especially the last couple of weeks. A nice 4 game slate for us to continue our hot streak so let’s dive right in! My favorite play on both sites is Brossoit for the VGK. I don’t usually pick goalies as my cover player but he has a 60% projected win rate against probably the weakest team on the slate in the LA Kings. The Kings are definitely overachieving this year so don’t let their current standings fool you. Also the only other goalie with a 60%+ projected is Freddy from the Carolina Hurricanes who is $500 more playing against a tougher opponent. I would start your cash game build with Brossoit in net.

Dominik Kubalik (CHI) (W) – $4,000

  • Kubby once again grades out as the number 1 points per dollar play on FD and second behind Hornqvist on DK. He continues to be priced fairly cheap allowing you to comfortably spend up on players like Kane (FD/D), Josi (FD) and Barkov (DK). As I mentioned in my previous articles with Kubalik as one of my core plays, even if he has a floor game, it won’t kill your lineup due to his price tag. He brings upside as he can pick up a point or two playing 15+ minutes per game.

Laurent Brossoit (VGK) (G) – $8,100

  • A must play on both FD and DK.

Dominik Kubalik (CHI) (LW) – $3,100

  • A must play on both FD and DK.

Cash Play Considerations

  • Patrick Kane (CHI) (W) – $8,100
  • Roman Josi (NSH) (D) – $7,000

  • Patrick Kane (CHI) (RW) – $6,800
  • Aleksander Barkov (FLA) (C) – $7,200
  • Patric Hornqvist (FLA) (RW) – $2,600
