NBA DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Core Plays (October 23)

FANDUEL

Derrick White (SA) (PG/SG) – $5,900

  • Derrick had himself a big night dropping 40.4 FD points in 36 minutes yesterday. That’s a lot to consider on a back to back night but he looks to be healthy this season and the Spurs need every minute from him as they rely heavily on their backcourt duo. Derrick is listed as a PG or SG so you can go many ways in building your cash lineup. I have in him my optimal build so far and I don’t plan on changing it.

Jonas Valanciunas (NO) (C) – $6,300

  • Same with Derrick, Jonas played last night (33 mins) and performed well as he ended with 35.1 FD points. I’m locking him again on FD as I like the matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. B2Bs are concerning but with no Zion, they need to play Jonas. He’s a lock for me on FD and you can consider playing him over on DK.

DRAFTKINGS

De’Anthony Melton (MEM) (PG/SG) – $3,800

  • With Grayson Allen gone and Dillon Brooks out, Melton got the chance to start and he made the most out of it against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He almost ended with 1 FD point per min (29.3 FD points in 30 mins). He is still way too cheap on DK and is a lock for me. He will be the chalkiest player and is my favorite play on DK. Save your money and grab Melton at this price.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) (PF/C) – $10,500

  • Currently, I have Giannis in both my builds for FD and DK but you can definitely go another route on FD. However, on DK, I think you have to play Giannis. The game against the Miami Heat was very disappointing from not just Giannis but the entire Bucks team. That should motivate them and I expect them to bounce back against the San Antonio Spurs tonight. Jrue is back and that should help the Bucks as they needed their starting PG.
