NBA DFS FanDuel & DraftKings Core Plays (January 1/22)

Hamidou Diallo (DET) (SG/SF) – $6,800

  • If you didn’t see my Chel article earlier in the day, then Happy New Year to all the NBA fans! Let’s dive straight into the NBA main slate. Hamidou Diallo is my favorite play on the slate, especially on FD. His price tag is too cheap for the usage he will get with Bey. Both will dominate the ball and rack up points tonight.

Saddiq Bey (DET) (SF) – $6,700

  • Bey is a great play as well and pairing him up with Diallo should be your cash game route. Both should play around 40 minutes and since their entire team is out with injuries / COVID, they become elite plays.

Will Barton (DEN) (SG/SF) – $5,800

  • Aaron Gordon is questionable and will give a slight bump to Barton and Jokic. He has one of the best matchups tonight against the Rockets and for 5.8k, I will gladly roster Barton tonight.

Nikola Jokic (DEN) (C) – $12,600

  • The Joker is the clear spend up today and he could very well be the MVP again this season. He has been monster this year with all the injuries and I expect him to have another ceiling game against the Rockets. He isn’t a core play on FD but I will be playing him today on both sites.

Hamidou Diallo (DET) (SG/SF) – $7,700

  • For those of you who are reading my articles for the first time, I write FD core plays first and if they are also my DK core play, you can simply read the write up on the player above for both sites. However, Diallo’s price is a bit up on DK but as of now, he is in my optimal build. You can fade him but I wouldn’t in cash games unless other news pops up.

  • Nikola Jokic (DEN) (C) – $10,700
  • Derrick Walton (DET) (PG) – $4,500

  • Luka Garza (DET) (C) – $4,300
  • Facundo Campazzo (DEN) (PG/SG) – $4,200

  • Brandon Ingram – questionable
  • Aaron Gordon – questionable
